This selection of works speaks to our theme of “Finding Your Story at Laman Library.” The story the artist is telling through their work and the story of the viewer connecting with a specific piece is a journey that overlaps. What draws someone to a piece of art – whether it’s a book, or a piece of visual art – isn’t all that different. It’s about the story the piece is telling and how the reader or viewer connects with it. The Delta Exhibition is known for a diverse selection process – which allows every individual visitor to the exhibition to find something that speaks to them. The library strives to create the same environment for our patrons. We display, exhibit a diverse collection in the hope that everyone will find something that speaks to them, thereby finding their story.
